The market near the hotel in delhi voyage was incredible. I was able to get an adapter Indian and a toothbrush to 50 meters from the hotel. The market buzz and honking cars late into the evening, although I have not heard a thing. That's what city life can do for you, you can somehow be lulled into sleep by the sounds instead of being upset. We left at 6 am this morning, take the train to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal.
I was fortunate to spend three hours journey from near Siddhartha (no, not Buddha, but his namesake), 24, MBA student who was in transit home from Paris (where he spent 10 months as part of its program). Nothing like a local perspective to a new country. We've talked about so many things in politics, the financial crisis, and marriage to the war on drugs.
taj mahal india has been fantastic. So white, delicate and pure. Ethereal really. Did you know that it was built for a woman who died giving birth to 14 children numbers? I have not, but it seems fair. A monument so beautiful, it would eventually be listed as one of the seven wonders of the world. A good way to express such a great love, grief and loss.
